First I want to say that after a long hiatus (haven’t really touched a .NET board since NETMF died…), I’m happy so far to see what GHI has been doing with TinyCLR OS. The integration with VS2019 & Nuget is everything I always dreamed of. So far, I am thrilled at how solid and fast this all feels compared to what I was used to with NETMF. I’m really excited to continue playing. Kudos to GHI!
So, back to the topic… I just finished working through the “Camera Interface” example and here’s a few issues I ran into that need to be added to the text.
- The example text doesn’t say to add the GHIElectronics.TinyCLR.Devices.Display nuget package. I did that. Compile issues around Display references went away.
- The example text doesn’t say to add the GHIElectronics.TinyCLR.Drawing nuget package. This one took a good minute to figure out since the namespace is System.Drawing.
After making these two changes, the example worked like a charm!
