While browsing the endless world of cheap gadgets at DealExtreme i ran into this capacitive Genuine sensor and thought it may come in handy for some here…it even comes with a easy to use Strip attached… 
and turn it Blue with this one:

looks like this one can be turned into a Gadgeteer Module… got find the datasheet:
