Batch PCB Pivot

Altium may be the better EDA package; that’s entirely possible (my EDA software experience is nearly non-existant). Eagle wins out though (especially for hobbyists) for a few reasons, however:

[ol]
It’s free for the sorts of things we want to do.
There’s LOTS of information on how to use it, tutorials and such.
There are lots of parts libraries for it (SparkFun, for example, maintains an Eagle library for many of the parts they sell).
Some PCB fab services will take the eagle design files directly instead of running a (possibly complex) CAM job (such as DorkbotPDX).[/ol]

If those points aren’t important to you, then Eagle may not be a good choice for you.

@ godefroi got a stuck keyboard or something? ;D

Lol, no, something went wrong, kept getting errors when I tried to reply. When it came back, there were one or two to many replies…

Hum… weird.
