Has anyone every plugged a barcode scan gun into their ChipworkX development kit? I was planning on just trying it, but figured I would ask if anyone ever tried this before. I don’t want to damage the board.
Most of these have a serial or USB connection and output a ASCII string so getting one hooked up should be fairly straightforward. If you have a particular reader in mind it might help to mention it to get more specific advice.
Get a USB one. We always use those. It is basically a USB keyboard internally
A generic USB scanner is what I meant. I knew it was basically a keyboard, but I just wanted to make sure. I tried it and it works great! Good stuff.
