I received my ALCAM OEM and the visual sensor is hanging by its ribbon cable.
How is the camera sensor suppose to be attached to the PCB?

You can use 2 way tape and keep it flat or get something like a tiny bracket and then use the 2 way tape to set it at an angle. Most well keep it flat.

Thanks. That is what I assumed but thought I would ask anyway.
I asked because, in one image I saw, it looked like it had heat sink compound (white stuff in picture).
Yes, I know it sounds stupid, but I’m not afraid to ask stupid questions…
I would like to ask another question. Is there a way to see the mounted SD card directly from Windows? In other words the Alcam OEM board acts as a USB thumdrive so I can transfer photos without having to remove the SD card from the Alcam board and putting it into my Windows drive?
I noticed there is the possibility to wire up a USB connector, but it looked to me like that is only for storing pictures on the USB drive instead of SD card. But what I want to know is if there is a way to to mount the same SD card directly on a PC even while its still in the Alcam OEM board?
